Touch (Spring 2020) is a photographic series / art in isolation by Eileen Haring Woods and her collaborators.
During these months of self isolation as a result of COVID 19, most of us are missing the comfort, joy and healing properties of touching our friends and family. I know I am, and to transform this frustration into something positive I am making a new artwork, by inviting a selection of people to make contact. It is an exercise in trust. It is a private exchange, with the subjects sending me their photographs made in response to my invitation. As with many of my other works, particularly I LOOK TO YOU, the subject is anonymous. It is also an exercise in adaptability, to work only with what I can do at home in my tiny studio. And, finally, it is a labour of love.
The work is shown in the order it was made.
