Cities

Our interest in cities and in particular, public space has been a major element in our work over many years. We believe that the urban environment is a living artform, which generates creativity, innovation, education, training, work and art spaces in public places.

Starting with the eye level landscape of promotional window display, our designs and installations have contributed to the culture and style of high streets in cities throughout the UK and abroad.

Through our ten year relationships with the City of Westminster and Camden Council, the local authorities for the heart of London, we have been privileged to work on development strategies for landmark sites including Leicester Square, the Carnaby quarter, Chinatown, Covent Garden and the Seven Dials area. And our partnerships with property developers and retailers have helped us produce many successful festivals and special events.

Our six year contract with the Green Heart Partnership, co-funded by Arts Council England, and the eleven local authorities of Hertfordshire brought together the arts and environment sectors and collaboratively achieved arts led sustainable solutions for the public realm.

Our involvement over many years with LivCom, the International Awards for Liveable Communities over many years provided an exceptional awareness of city initiatives around the world, which in turn informed our own work.

Working with international renowned Professor Benjamin Barber, over twelve years on the Interdependence Movement and the Global Parliament of Mayors, allowed us to showcase our talents around the world.

Inspiration from artists like Christo, Michelangelo Pistoletto’s Cittedellarte, Robert Wilson and our associates Observatorium,  prove that interdisciplinary creativity shapes successful cities.
